Designed to a very good standard, Wheeler Barn is a great place for discerning families and groups of friends to meet up, relax and enjoy all that the region has to offer. This impressive detached barn, adjacent to the owner’s home, stands in its own grounds with a lovely patio area, where guests can wile away lazy days and evenings. In an ideal location for exploring both Norfolk and Suffolk, visitors will be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding what to see and do. Voted one of the best cities in the UK, the medieval city of Norwich, with its impressive Norman cathedral, numerous museums, boat trips on the river, theatres, great boutique and high street shopping, and lots of places to eat, is well worth a visit. Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk is also a must do. It is an historic gem with a richly fascinating heritage, and the striking combination of medieval architecture, elegant Georgian squares and glorious cathedral and abbey gardens provide a distinctive visual charm. The historical market towns of Diss, Loddon and Wymondham are well worth a visit, as is the unspoilt North Norfolk Coast, with its pretty coastal villages and glorious beaches, that are too plentiful to mention by name but, for great contrasts, try Great Yarmouth for all the fun of the fair and Cromer for its largely unspoilt Georgian promenade and pier. Alternatively, spend a day enjoying the Norfolk Broads, where you can hire a day launch or join a boat trip to explore the famous waterways. Described as the ‘birdwatching capital of England’, opportunities to spot our feathered friends in Norfolk are vast, and add in excellent walks, cycle routes and numerous National Trust properties and stately homes, guests will be glad they chose Wheeler Barn to come back to for a relaxing evening, maybe on that beautiful patio. Beach 30 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
