Located in the heart of Whalley, one of the Ribble Valley’s most popular and bustling villages, this delightful mid-terraced holiday cottage offers spacious and comfortable accommodation, spread over 3 storeys. With a variety of pubs, restaurants, cafes, takeaways and lots of interesting little shops on the doorstep, it is the perfect base from which to explore all that the area has to offer. Whalley, which has its own ancient church and abbey ruins, has some lovely walks by the River Calder or along Whalley Nab. Other activities available locally include golf, fishing and cycling. The Ribble Valley has a great reputation for food and drink with lots of excellent pubs and restaurants. Easy access to the road network makes this the ideal touring base. Clitheroe, 4 miles, is the Ribble Valley’s largest market town and apart from hosting a wide range of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, also has a castle and museum. Other places worth visiting within easy driving distance include the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Liverpool, Manchester, Lancaster, Forest of Bowland (AONB), Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Should you wish to take a break from the car, public transport links are also very good from here with buses into Blackburn, Preston and Skipton, and trains into Manchester and Clitheroe.
