This stone built terraced holiday cottage can be found in a traditional hilltop Pennine village, with it’s beautiful moorland edge location offering breath-taking panoramic views over the stunning Calder Valley. With walks direct from the door over the glorious Yorkshire countryside, you can discover pretty wooded valleys, beautiful heather moorland and tumbling streams, including those at the nearby south Pennines beauty spot of the National Trust’s Hardcastle Crags. In addition, both the Peak District National Park and Yorkshire Dales National Parks are both easily reachable, offering an abundance of historic buildings, diverse spectacular scenery and outdoor pursuits. Just 2½ miles away is bohemian and literary Hebden Bridge, its vibrant cobbled streets are awash with artisan shops, cosy coffee houses, inspiring galleries, pavement cafés, independent book and craft shops, and of course, welcoming local pubs serving real Yorkshire ale and hearty meals. Just above Hebden Bridge are the cobbled lanes of Hepstonstall, a tiny historic village wonderfully preserved, popular with walkers and long regarded as one of Yorkshire’s best kept secrets. For those with children, the National Children’s Museum Eureka! is just 20 minutes away in the market town of Halifax, and of course Brontë Parsonage, former home to Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë, is just 10 miles away in nearby Howarth. Finally, perfect for those wanting to leave their car at home, Mytholmroyd train station is just 5 minutes away from this property and offers regular direct services to many destinations including Manchester, Leeds and Halifax.
