Perched on the hillside above the sweeping sands of the Kyle of Tongue, Tuinne Na Mara enjoys stunning sea and mountain views. Set in its own pretty gardens this delightful, detached, single-storey holiday cottage provides generous accommodation for up to six people. The main lounge has large picture windows that drink in the amazing seascape, with hills and mountains beyond. There are three attractively presented bedrooms, a separate dining room and a well-equipped kitchen. The gardens are a real delight, with lawns and mature shrubs. They are fully fenced to deter the local friendly sheep.
Situated in the pretty hamlet of Talmine, it offers peace and seclusion, yet is within walking distance of local facilities, including a village store, pub and restaurant. The nearby village of Tongue enjoys spectacular views across the sea, with the mountains of Ben Hope and Ben Loyal in the distance. It offers a good selection of amenities and facilities, including a general store, hotels with bars, restaurants and craft shops.
The surrounding area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. For sailors and kayakers, there is a slipway and harbour close to the cottage. Horse riding is available at nearby Torrisdale Sands. The area is renowned for its loch, river and sea fishing. Permits are available locally for salmon, sea trout and brown trout, and boats are also available to hire.
