Tudor Cottage is a charming period holiday cottage, dating back to 1450, in the heart of rural Suffolk, enjoying a high street position in the historic wool town of Hadleigh. The cottage, formerly the central hall to a grand 15th-century High Street residence, retains its history and charm in the exposed blackened beams, low ceilings and sloping walls. On the curtilage of Constable Country, the ancient market town of Hadleigh has over 200 listed buildings, a wide range of independent shops, restaurants and pubs, and this is a good central base to explore the delights of Suffolk and Essex; the magnificent St Mary’s church is one of the longest churches in Suffolk, built in 14th-century, boosting a wood and lead spire, the grand architecture is testimony of the wealth of this historic wool town. Within a short drive are the picturesque villages of Lavenham, Long Melford (for NT properties) and Kersey, the market town of Sudbury (home of the artist Gainsborough), Colchester, England’s oldest recorded town, with it’s castle and zoo, Constable country and Felixstowe for a day at a traditional seaside resort. There are 3 golf courses nearby and the area is ideal for walkers and cyclists. Shop 20 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Ground floor: Living room with beams. Dining room with beams. 1 step to kitchen. Separate toilet. First floor: 2 double bedrooms (one 6ft), both with beams. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.
