The holiday apartment occupies the whole of the first floor of an 18th century building, set on the picturesque floral high street of Pateley Bridge, within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has been lovingly restored and is furnished with a blend of antique and contemporary furniture.
It is well-placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales both on foot and by car. The delightful and traditional dales town of Pateley Bridge offers pubs, restaurants, varied shopping and the Nidderdale museum, all within walking distance, 50 yards. The valley has a wealth of places to eat, from village pubs to a Michelin Star restaurant all within 5 miles.
For those who enjoy walking, try the Nidderdale Way, a circular route that passes through the town, or a leisurely flat stroll along the banks of the River Nidd. The spa town of Harrogate is just 13 miles away, where you will find a wide selection of individual shops, restaurants and pubs, and afternoon tea at Betty’s is a must. Ripon is also close by, a cathedral city brimming with history, Fountains Abbey, Studley and Ripon Spa Gardens are also close by. Go and visit the rock formations at Brimham, managed by the National Trust, they are a spectacle not to miss. The market town of Skipton with its wide high street, local street markets available three times a week and a Norman castle, is 25 miles away and Knaresborough, home to Knaresborough Castle and England’s oldest visitor attraction, Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well, is 16 miles away. A little further afield is the historic city of York which is easily accessed by car.
Alternatively stay in, sit in the bay window and watch the world go by in Pateley Bridge. Shops, pub and restaurants within 50 yards.
