The coast is littered with popular seaside towns and villages such as Mundesley, Cromer, East and West Runton and Sheringham, which boast a good mix of sand and pebble beaches, along with a variety of coastal attractions. Visit Cromer and dine on famous Cromer crabs, play in the amusement arcades and potter in the selection of shops and cafés or head to the famous End of Pier Show, the cinema or Amazonia Zoo. The bustling market town of Sheringham offers more seaside fun and Happisburgh, with its famous lighthouse and lighthouse museum, is also close by. This is also a perfect base for the Norfolk Broads, where you can take boat trips or even hire a day boat yourself. A little further afield, but offering a vast choice of entertainment options, Great Yarmouth is worth a day trip, as is the medieval city of Norwich, with its Norman castle, numerous museums, fabulous shopping, great restaurants and bustling market. There are also great cycle routes, beautiful and bracing walks, fantastic stately homes and bid watching opportunities close by. Beach ½ mile. Shop 1 mile, pub 350 yards and restaurant ½ mile.
