Located in the heart of the village of Northwold, The Cottage is built on the site of a 17th-century farm building adjoining the owner’s barn, and is set in approximately 2 acres of natural grounds, which guests have shared use of. Northwold, mentioned in the Domesday Book, has a 13th-century church and many quiet roads and lanes, making it ideal for walkers and cyclists. It is less than 1 hour’s drive to the stunning North Norfolk Coast, offering lovely sandy beaches. Nearby Thetford Forest provides extensive walks and bicycle trails, and is also the home of ‘Go Ape’. The imposing NT property Oxburgh Hall is 6 miles away, whilst Sandringham and the royal parks are 25 miles. 16 miles from the medieval port of Kings Lynn and 23 miles from the Cathedral city of Ely.
