This charming 1860s end cottage is on a quiet lane within the city’s ancient walls and just a five-minute walk from Canterbury Cathedral. Relax in the secluded garden, tour the city by boat on the picturesque River Stour, or by foot - castles, St Augustine’s Abbey, public gardens, museums, Marlowe Theatre, cinema, leisure centre and excellent shopping are all an easy walk. Two railway stations provide connections to London and the Channel Tunnel. Whitstable, famous for its oysters, offers activities such as fishing, sailing and surfing. Cycle the Crab and Winkle Way, once the first passenger railway line in the world, which runs from Canterbury to Whitstable via the harbour. Dover and its port can be easily reached for day trips to France. National Trust sites, Goodnestone Park and Gardens, the East Kent Light Railway, Barnsole Vineyards, Dover Castle and Howlett’s Wild Animal Park are all a short drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
