Set in the grounds of Hesketh Hall dating back to the 1850s, and surrounded by the splendour of the Hambleton Hills, this beautiful adjoining barn conversion has been lovingly converted to a very high standard with wooden flooring throughout the ground floor and a wood-burning stove in the living room - creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It makes a fantastic location for children and Sutton Bank National Park is nearby with beautiful scenery, walks, cycle trails, wildlife viewing area and tearooms. Deep in the valley flows the Gurtof Beck from Boltby Moor, which is where this pretty little village hides away on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The location is stunning for a holiday at any time of year and is perfect for walking, cycling and riding. The bustling market town of Thirsk, with its cobbled streets, is famed for its connection with James Herriot, a commanding 15th-century church, and the well known race course which lies just 6 miles distant. The ancient market town of Helmsley is only 7 miles, and the beautiful city of Ripon, one of England’s smallest cities, with its magnificent cathedral and racecourse, is just 12 miles along the road. Excellent walking is afforded from the Cleveland Way (less than a mile away) or discover the heritage of Yorkshire when visiting its many historic houses and abbeys, such as Castle Howard, Byland Abbey, Rievaulx Abbey and Duncombe Park, all of which are nearby. The city of York,
29 miles, is unique for the completeness of its walls and townscape, which blends medieval with later architecture. It also offers York Minster, the largest cathedral built in England in the Middle Ages, and the National Railway Museum. Ideally located for touring the coastal villages of Runswick Bay and Robin Hood’s Bay, the seaside town of Whitby is also nearby - famous for the links with Captain Cook and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Pony trekking available locally, and Lightwater Valley Theme Park, 15 miles. Shop 6 miles, award-winning pub serving traditional ales and homemade food 2 miles.

Spacious open-plan sitting/dining room/kitchen with wood-burning stove, sofa-bed (alternative sleeping only) and French doors to patio and gardens. Modern, farmhouse-style kitchen area with hand painted units. Shower room and toilet. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Two twin bedrooms, one with zip & link beds. All bedrooms with TV, DVD and sloping ceiling. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet.
