Situated in a quiet corner of the small village of Cornhill-on-Tweed close to the English/Scottish Border, this converted detached bungalow has a relaxing sun room with woodburner. The border town of Coldstream is just 1.5 miles away and has a selection of shops and cafes and is home to the Hirsel Estate, which offers way-marked walks, a museum, tearoom, craft workshops and an 18-hole golf course. The historic town of Berwick with its Elizabethan walls and extensive shopping is 13 miles away, as is the impressive Northumberland coast. The surrounding area is excellent for walkers but the Cheviot Hills, 8 miles, are a particular highlight. The River Tweed flows through the village and is renowned for the best salmon fishing in the country (permit required). Shop, pub and restaurant 250 yards.
