In a wonderful location on the shores of Loch Linnhe, just south of Duror village, this cosy, single-storey holiday apartment is situated on a small working farm. The farm has a variety of livestock including wonderful, gentle llamas and a large pig. Literally on the doorstep the farm has one and a half miles of shore front for you to explore, with a shingle beach and an abundance of opportunities for fishing, bird watching, beach combing or, just watching the sun setting over the Morven Hills. Guests can launch a canoe or small dinghy from the beach or for larger boats a slipway is available for a small fee at Linnhe Marina, five miles away. Otters, seals, porpoises, buzzards, golden and sea eagles, and barn owls can be seen from the farm. There are plenty of attractions to visit, including the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary, Castle Stalker and Cruachan Hollow Mountain. Glencoe and Fort William are a short drive away, offering excellent skiing, walking and climbing. There is a superb cycle track running close to the farm, allowing miles of easy cycling for all the family, whilst enjoying magnificent views. The town of Oban offers a full range of shops, excellent restaurants, a leisure centre and cinema. From the bustling harbour, you can catch a boat to the Hebridean islands of Mull, Staffa and Iona, or from Port Appin, you can hire a bike and take the little passenger ferry to Lismore. The Isle of Skye and the Arnamurchan Peninsula are also easy to reach and make for great days out. Organised boat trips are available from Ballachulish and Port Appin.
