The scenery is magnificent and has been used as the backdrop for many well known films including Braveheart and Rob Roy, and a journey on the West Highland Steam Train (seasonal) takes you over the Glenfinnan Viaduct as depicted in one of the Harry Potter movies. Take a trip on the gondola up Aonach Mor, now boasting a dry ski slope, or try the World Championship mountain bike course. The area is renowned for its wildlife with golden eagles, wild deer and otters often seen. Climbing, skiing, fishing, walking, golf and a variety of water sports are also available locally. Inverness, Loch Ness, Glencoe, Oban and the Isle of Skye are easily reached. Shop 1 mile, pub 1/2 mile.
