The medieval city of Norwich, with its famous Norman castle, striking architecture, numerous museums and great eating and shopping opportunities, is not to be missed. A little further afield, a visit to the town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk is also a must, with its award winning market, including its famous Christmas market, elegant Georgian squares, glorious cathedral and abbey gardens along with more great places to shop and eat. Honeysuckle Cottage is equidistant from the Norfolk Broads, which offers wonderful wildlife, boat trips and day boat hire, and the coast with resorts such as popular Wells-next-the-Sea with its narrow gauge railway, picturesque quay and quaint mix of artisan and traditional seaside shops. Enjoy a trip to see the seals or, for traditional seaside thrills and spills why not head to Great Yarmouth where you can experience all the fun of the fair. Add to this, numerous National Trust properties and stately homes, great walking and cycling routes and wildlife and bird watching opportunities and you’ll be spoilt for choice. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub ½ mile.
