Enjoying one of the best positions in Whitby, this stylish, architect-designed, adjoining modern townhouse (back row, directly left of main mast in photograph), has accommodation cleverly arranged over four floors, and has panoramic views over the marina and River Esk. The spacious holiday property has been furnished and equipped to a very good standard and has off-street parking for 2 cars and is just a 15-minute walk from the town centre. It is ideal for family get togethers and groups of friends. Whitby has something for everyone, whatever the time of year. The town is dominated by the ruins of Whitby Abbey, beside St Mary’s Church on the cliff top, from which the famous 199 steps lead down to the narrow streets and ginnels with a wealth of shops and restaurants. The seaport has the famous Captain Cook Museum; fishing and pleasure trips are available from the quayside and 3 miles of sandy beach lead towards Sandsend. The picturesque coastal villages of Robin Hood’s Bay and Runswick Bay are nearby, not forgetting the stunning scenery of the North York Moors which can be enjoyed by train, often steam hauled. Both Scarborough and York are easily reached on a day trip. For sports lovers, Whitby has a golf course and an indoor swimming pool; there are opportunities for sea and freshwater fishing, fantastic cycle paths are close by and walkers are spoilt for choice! Shops and pubs 200 yards.

Top floor: Three bedrooms, each with sloping ceiling, one double, one twin and one single. Ground floor: Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. Lower ground floor: Living/dining room with French doors to balcony overlooking harbour/River Esk, open plan with kitchen with breakfast bar. Bottom floor: Large bedroom with 5ft bed, additional single bed (for +1), TV, French doors to patio, en-suite shower room with twin basins, bidet and toilet.
