Gorten is a charming and well-appointed holiday cottage, ideal for couples or singles, and is in a truly superb setting. It is the perfect base for peace and tranquillity within this spectacular area and is a true ’get-away-from-it-all’ experience. The historic oakwoods and lead mines of Aruindle are within walking distance of Gorten and the Ardnamurchan Peninsula has so much to offer holidaymakers including unspoilt beaches, dramatic scenery and so much history. Ardnamurchan Distillery, Nadurra, and a nature centre are only a short drive away. The Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, which is the most westerly point in Britain, and Sanna Bay with its pristine beach, are both a short drive away. Another favourite is the steam train journey from Fort William to Mallaig which was used in the Harry Potter movies. Also available in the area are activities such as mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, shooting, and dolphin and whale watching. The views over Loch Sunart will amaze guests, as will the sunsets, so come and enjoy! Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
