The main river is less than 20 metres away and a gentle 0.25 mile stroll leads to the bustling heart of Wroxham and its shops, cafés and riverside pubs. Glorious sandy beaches at Sea Palling, Waxham and Winterton are within 12 miles and the National Trust properties of Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, picturesque fishing villages, bird reserves and seal watching boat trips off the North Norfolk coast are all within an easy drive as is Bewilderwood, an imaginative tree house adventure park that is a firm family favourite. The medieval city of Norwich, with its magnificent cathedral, castle museum, cobbled streets, galleries, theatres, cinemas and excellent shopping opportunities, lies just 9 miles away.
