Set in the small hamlet of Great Tosson by the historical site of Tosson Tower, an English Heritage run monument built around 600 years ago.
This large, four bedroom, ground floor holiday cottage has something for all age groups, with wi-fi and its outstanding location. The cast iron stove is a welcoming feature on those chilly evenings, where you can sit back and take in the view from the pretty bay window facing the hills and valleys. The Northumberland National Park is a designated dark sky park which means it is fantastic for star gazing. A great location for fisherman, with its private stretch of free fishing along the River Coquet, where the catch is salmon and trout (licence required). Cyclists, walkers and wildlife lovers return to this tranquil and peaceful location, where the local attractions can easily be reached.
Alnwick is a 30-minute drive, with its cobbled streets, famous castle and enchanting gardens, ensuring a great day out. The Heritage coast (AONB) is only around 20 miles, where you will find castles, golden sands and friendly villages selling local fresh produce and the catch of the day. Rothbury, with a pretty river walk and children’s park, has plenty of friendly pubs, cafes and independent shops.
