In a fabulous cliff top position, this holiday property is within comfortable walking distance of Mundesley’s gently shelving sandy beach. A spacious family house, Cliff Cottage enjoys its own indoor heated swimming pool (available all year), reached directly from the hall of the house, which boasts a stepped Roman end giving easy access. There is an extensive, fenced garden with large patio area and brick-built barbecue, ideal for outside summer dining. There are wonderful, panoramic sea views from the first floor living room, second bedroom and garden, which extends to within 10 feet of the cliff face. This is a fantastic place for family get-togethers and celebrations with spacious entertaining rooms and comfortable bedrooms. The house lies in the seaside village Mundesley, with its good selection of shops and places to eat and drink. There is a golf course just over 15 minutes’ walk away and horse riding at the edge of the village. Along the coast to the north lie the seaside towns of Cromer, Sheringham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney, with miles of sandy and pebble beaches, excellent launching facilities for dinghies, windsurfing, waterskiing and good fishing. Cromer, famous for its crabs, has two museums, including the Lifeboat Museum at the pier, and is a wonderful place to potter around and enjoy its range of artisan and traditional seaside shops, cafés and restaurants. There is also the famous end of pier show, a cinema and Amazonia Zoo. The bustling market town of Sheringham boasts over 700 acres of NT parkland and is also the terminus for the North Norfolk Steam Railway which runs inland to the boutique town of Holt. Wells-next-the-Sea is a working harbour with a busy quay and narrow gauge railway, while Blakeney, with its cobbled streets and picturesque fishermen’s cottages, is popular with small boats and offers trips to see the seals; Blakeney Point itself is a nature reserve for birds and seals. To the south lie the Norfolk Broads, with over 200 miles of navigable rivers and waterways winding between miles of windmill-studded marshland, and passing through many pretty Broadland villages. There are also many cycle rental points throughout the area and designated cycle trails. Medieval Norwich, with its imposing Norman castle, is also not to be missed and offers guided walks (including a ghost walk), museums, and great shopping and eating opportunities. Stately homes, NT properties, great market towns and pretty villages to explore, beautiful and bracing walks, gentle cycling routes, and wonderful wildlife and bird watching opportunities make Norfolk a popular repeat destination. Shop 400 yards.
