This spacious and comfortable house makes the most of the location (the en-suite has a full-width glazed wall with panoramic lake view) and there is walking from the house extending around the lake, which is stocked with fish. From here guests can easily access the tourist attractions in Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire. At Rudyard there is a visitor centre, cafe, boat launch facility, rowing boat hire and a cute miniature train runs along the opposite shore occasionally. Leek, 3 miles, has good shopping, swimming pool and leisure centre and two golf courses. Stoke-on-Trent has Waterworld, Gladstone Pottery Museum, Emma Bridgewater factory shop and pottery painting as well as a cinema complex, indoor skiing, bowling, and Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forest. Alton Towers and Splash Landings, cycle hire on the Manifold Trail, Biddolph Grange and Little Moreton Hall (both NT) are within 15 miles. Chatsworth Hall, Haddon Hall and Bakewell are 25 miles. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 0.5 miles.
